As a large, vertically integrated company, Sovereign Foods makes extensive use of suppliers throughout the business. Services suppliers are used on short and long-term basis in various parts of the business, including but not limited to industrial maintenance, building maintenance, construction, vehicle maintenance, training, traveling services and IT support. In addition, suppliers of goods are used on a large scale basis, ranging from raw materials to construction materials, to packaging, industrial equipment, vehicles and apparel. Where possible, Sovereign supports local suppliers only as a means of contributing to the economy of the Eastern Cape region.
