How is free-range chicken different from any other chicken products? |
| Currently, the only requirement necessary to claim free-range farming, is the ability for the animals to access the outdoors. There is no noteable difference in the type of chicken or feed used and there is no evidence that there is actually any difference in the taste of the chicken. | |

How does Sovereign Foods farm chickens? |
| All Sovereign chickens are farmed in large chicken houses (120m long) where chickens are able to roam around freely and feed at will. Conditions in these houses are accurately controlled to give the chickens the perfect climate for ensuring their health and well-being. | |

What is meat seasoning? |
| Meat seasoning is a world-wide practice for enhancing the tenderness and taste of meat, which could otherwise be very dry and stringy if unseasoned. The seasoning contains a water and salt solution made from only food grade ingredients and helps to enhance the natural flavour and tenderness of the meat, thus making it more palatable. Recent tests in the US have also shown that meat seasoning helps limit bacteria that cause food-born diseases. Sovereign Foods offers consumers products with or without meat seasoning for their own convenience. | |

Is frozen chicken better than fresh chicken? |
| There is no difference in quality between frozen or fresh chicken. The advantage of fresh chicken is that it can be used immediately without needing to defrost it. Frozen chicken, however, does have the advantage of keeping the product fresher for longer. This enables it to have a significantly longer shelf life. Where the product needs no further preparation, as with chicken portions, it can also be cooked straight from frozen. There is also not much difference in the purge levels (the loss in moisture after cooking) between fresh and frozen chicken. |
