The division currently places between 55 000 females and 8 000 males every six to seven weeks.
At any given time the division has up to 150 000 rearing birds and 300 000 layers on the ground.
This is made up of four rearing farms and eight layer farms. On average, each layer hen produces 160 eggs during a 65-week cycle.
920 000 day-old chicks are placed per week, produced by a state-of-the-art hatchery which receives 170 000 eggs every day.
Between 600 000 and 1 200 000 eggs are stored in an egg bank at any given time.
Eggs are set in the setters five days a week, and in incubation for 18 days after which they are transferred to the hatchers.
Day-old chicks are hatched after three days.
